2.) This 2ft tall SCE AquaDam was controlling 18-inches of water depth. Installation was completed efficiently in just 30 minutes using a single 3-inch pump. Remarkably, no additional equipment was required aside from the pump and hoses. The AquaDam was transported in the bed of a pickup truck, manually carried to the designated site, carefully un-rolled, and then filled to its specified height with water.
3.) Here we can see the closed end of the SCE AquaDam. The open end of the AquaDam, along with its fill-tubes, is located at the starting bank. There is a wooden beam in the center of the roll of the AquaDam that will be used to re-roll the dam during removal. The effectiveness of the AquaDam is clearly demonstrated by the de-watered shoreline visible in the background.
4.) Two individuals efficiently installed the AquaDam and successfully de-watered the shoreline within minutes. One person skillfully controlled the unrolling of the AquaDam, while the other operated the pump. This demonstration showcased the rapid and effective installation of a small AquaDam, effectively isolating the designated area. In comparison, traditional sandbagging would have been a labor-intensive and time-consuming process.
