.) Construction work needed to occur in an irrigation pond at Golf and Country Club in Mesquite Nevada. This pond could not be completely out of service because it helps water the course daily. Workers installed a 12ft tall 25ft wide (full) 160ft long single closed end (SCE) AquaDam in a line configuration, bank to bank.

.) Looking towards Redd Hill Parkway, the starting point (open end) and fill-tubes of the 12ft tall SCE AquaDam are on the left, just ahead of the worker. A SCE AquaDam requires a bank to keep its open end higher in elevation than the body of the AquaDam. The open end and fill-tubes of a SCE AquaDam must be elevated higher than the full height of dam along its given path. An AquaDam will only reach its full height at the lowest elevation along its given path.

.) Looking down the greater body of water side, we can see the AquaDam has reached its 25ft wide at the deepest point in the channel. As the AquaDam goes up the starting and ending banks, its width increases slightly while its height reduces. This 12ft tall SCE AquaDam also has a slight lean and curve to it, mostly from the water depth pressure.

.) The work area has been pretty much de-watered. Can you see the water depth difference?

.) Looking back at the starting bank, the open end and fill-tubes are secured several feet higher than the filled height of the body of the AquaDam.

.) Looking at the ending bank where the closed end, of the AquaDam, still has length rolled up on the beam on which it was shipped. The extra length remaining unrolled has been tied back to prevent it from moving. More length is always better than not enough length.

.) Golfers at Oasis Palmer No. 12 checking out the AquaDam holding back the pond water.

.) Workers did great at the installation here, because the 12ft tall SCE AquaDam met the starting and ending banks at a perpendicular angle.

.) In this photo we can clearly see the water depth difference. Notice the mud in the bottom, right of the photo? The weight of a filled AquaDam may displace soft mud. Soft mud depths must be included with the maximum controllable water depth. A worker should push a measuring rod into the soft mud when measuring the maximum controllable water depth for an AquaDam.

.) Wonderful job AquaDam!
