.) These AquaDams have been in place from Winter 2002 to Winter 2003. They have not been maintained and are consequently looking a little ragged. The white AquaDam is made up of three progressively smaller tubes to act as a fish ladder, and the 1ft tall black unit has been used to create a pool at the bottom.
.) Since the 1ft tall unit was washed out, it was the first thing that had to be dealt with.
.) The worker pulls on the open end of the small AquaDam so that all the water will drain to the other end. Then he simply lays the unit on the bank to get it out of the way.
.) Notice that the 1ft tall AquaDam has now been moved. A pump is set near the pool upstream, and each of the tubes of the white dams are topped off in turn (starting with the largest).
.) Once one side is filled, the discharge hose is moved, and filling commences on the other side.
.) Once both sides are full, the complete effect of the pool and ladder can be seen.
.) It still looks a little dry for a fish to get up near the bottom...
.) Once the 1ft tall AquaDam is reinstalled, a deep pool is formed both above and below the main unit.
