.) This is a 6ft tall by 250ft long, double open end (DOE) AquaDam, deployed in New Zealand. In this case, the AquaDam is being used to isolate the riverbank from the rest of the river. The muddy water will be pumped out, creating a drier work area.
.) Overview of the work area from opposite bank.
.) The remaining bit of AquaDam remains rolled around the wooden core the AquaDam was rolled on. This beam has been tied off to an anchor and a nearby tree, to prevent the end from possibly sliding sideways.
.) The AquaDam was started here, on the upstream side of the work area. Two metal L-poles are providing an anchor for these fill-tubes.
.) Detail of AquaDam and beam. A re-rolling bracket is attached to the end of the beams.
.) The work area is now being de-watered, allowing work to begin.
