Repairs were necessary for a dam in Reno, Nevada, and an AquaDam cofferdam system was used for the job. The photo provided displays the specific location where the upstream AquaDam was installed. The project site is located at the intake of the dam, requiring the diversion of water through the use of multiple large pumps.

Some of the equipment needed for this project had to be flown in. AquaDams are delivered in a rolled-up form, similar to a carpet roll on a wooden beam. They are wrapped in a protective covering and include lifting ropes or straps for easy transportation.

The two AquaDams have been installed in a line configuration, with the main unit positioned on the left and the support dam on the right. For optimal performance, the support AquaDam should be closely positioned next to the main dam. It is essential to remove any water trapped between the two units in order for the support dam to function effectively.

Following the installation of the two AquaDams, the workers successfully de-watered the work area.

The workers have strategically positioned plastic sheeting within the gap separating the main AquaDam from the support AquaDam in order to effectively remove any excess water that may have accumulated between the two barriers.

The AquaDam cofferdam system is performing exceptionally well! Amazing work, AquaDam!
