This project utilized one 6ft tall 13ft wide 100ft long single closed end (SCE) AquaDam with a connection collar and a 4ft tall 9ft wide 100ft long SCE AquaDam. These two AquaDam were connected at the closed ends. This AquaDam cofferdam system facilitated the repair of a low-head dam and fish ladder in San Jose, California. The installation time for these two units was only six hours.
Looking at the AquaDam cofferdam system from the opposite bank. The water-filled cofferdam is up and diverting the flow of the river away from the project site.
Various sizes of AquaDams can be linked together to accommodate different types of terrain for the project. It is important to be aware that seepage is likely to occur when connecting multiple sections of a cofferdam.
This AquaDam cofferdam system was installed in a horseshoe/”U” shape configuration. Fantastic job AquaDam!
